Mr Jamie Priestley graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from Monash University in 1997. Following initial training in General Surgery he pursued an interest in Otolaryngology (Ear, Nose and Throat Surgery) which had developed whilst working in Otolaryngology positions in London in 2000. After returning to Australia he completed ENT training, gaining Fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2009.
A particular interest in Sinus Surgery saw him undertake a 12 month Fellowship at the University of Iowa, USA with Professor Scott Graham in Rhinology and Paranasal Sinus Surgery. The sinus fellowship involved exposure to a broad range of complex sinus cases including; sinonasal polyps, allergic sinus disease, recurrent and chronic sinusitis, and benign tumours of the nose and sinuses. Management of these conditions involved both Medical and Surgical treatments.
Returning to Australia in 2010, he established Mornington ENT with offices initially within the Bays hospital. With the growth of the practice, we moved into larger premises with the opening of new, purpose built suites at our current address at Level 2, 328 Main Street in Mornington.
Jamie continues to care for Paediatric and Adult patients. Should surgery be required, both insured and fee paying patients can have their procedures performed at The Bays Hospital, Mornington. Please note that surgery cannot be organised through the Public Health System.
In addition to his subspecialty interest in Sinusitis, Jamie manages a wide variety of ENT problems including :
- Tonsil and Adenoid problems for Children and Adults
- Nasal Obstruction
- Snoring and Sleep Apnoea
- General Otology including Hearing Loss
- Throat Disorders affecting Voice and Swallowing
